CPU COMPATIBILIDAD

The Apogee GT is essentially a universal water-block and should be able to work on nearly ever system that. It ships with all the necessary hardware for the following processors which are classified below by the type of sockets that they use:

Socket 478 (Intel Pentium 4),
Socket 775 (Pentium 4, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo ),
Socket 603/604 (Intel Xeon - 400 and 533 FSB)
Socket 771 (Intel Xeon) - Optional AP-NC604 hardware pack is required.
Socket 462 (AMD Athlon, Duron, MP, XP) - see notes 2 and 3 below
Socket 754, 939, 940 (AMD 64 bit processors)
Socket AM2 (AMD 64 bit processors) - All known motherboards but one are compatible at the time of release. Please check the COMPATIBILITY LIST
Socket F (AMD) compatibility is undergoing validation and will be updated as soon as possible.

Removal of the motherboard is necessary to install the mounting posts in all cases, except with AMD Athlon 64, Opteron (socket 754, 939 and 940), and socket AM2

Block Compatibility

The MCW60 is shipped with three separate retention mechanisms composed of spring loaded screws and back plates providing off-the-shelf compatibility with all ATI Radeon and most nVidia GeForce families of products as follows:
1. Pre-assembled retention mechanism using the four holes surrounding the processor:
Most high-end nVidia GeForce series from 6800 and above (incl. latest 7900 series).
ATI Radeon series from X1800 and above (incl. latest X1900 series) - Please note that Master cards for Crossfire Systems feature a compositing chip requiring an extra MC14 heatsink for cooling, not provided with the kit.
Compatibility of nVidia: 8800 series,7900 GTX Series,7900 GT Series,7800 GT Series,7600GT Series,6800 XT Series,6800 GT Series,6800 GS Series,6800 Series
2. Retention mechanism for all ATI Radeon 7000 to X850, and X1300 to X1600 (*) series using the two alternate mounting holes.
X1600XT Series Note: Depending on the circuit board maker, some X1600XT are not compatible.
3. Retention mechanism for nVidia GeForce 8800 series
Earlier mid-range GeForce series (6600 and below) utilizing two diagonal mounting holes (3.12" spacing as shown below) require the optional MCW60-FX kit.
